A very good copy with the usual second issue points: Engraved title page has "Tony Weller"on the signboard above the inn door; S Veller on pg 342; "his friends" line 21, pg 400; "holding" line 29, pg 260; imperfect "F" to pg 432 headline; notation to the bottom of pg 9. Bound in lightly rubbed contemporary full calf. The spine has been rebound in matching leather with the original decorated spine laid over. New endpapers. The edges of the text block are age tanned and the plates are browned to the edges. Pages 577 and the adjacent plate have had some edge wear professionally repaired. Apart from very slight occasional foxing the contents are in very clean, undamaged condition. Scans available if required.
