First edition. The date is not stated as is correct for the true first edition of this classic which was published in 1911. This copy is in very good condition. Bound in lightly shelf rubbed green cloth boards with elaborate gilt decoration to the front panel and spine which is still lovely and bright. Light age tanning to the edges of the text block and endpapers. Apart from a gift inscription to the front free endpaper the contents are very clean and bright. This copy is free of any foxing or stains. The front hinge is slightly weakened but the binding is otherwise very straight and strong. This is a much better than average copy of this very collectible book. Scans available if required.
