Patrol to the Golden Horn
Author(s): Alexander Fullerton
SECONDHAND BOOKS | General Fiction
It is October of 1918 and for the first time in two years a British submarine will attempt to pass through the Dardanelles. The rendezvous is with a French submarine in the Sea of Marmara. Their aim is to destroy the Goeben, a German battle cruiser lurking menacingly in the Golden Horn at Constantinople. Nick Everard, who won a DSC at Jutland and a DSO for his part in the raid on Zeebrugge, is told he must succeed at any cost so that Turkey will withdraw from its alliance with Germany.
1979. A very good copy.
