Abel Stokes (b.1857) married Frances Kennedy in 1977, and in 1902 the family moved from New South Wales to Western Australia, first to various mining areas and by 1906 to land near Cunderdin, Western Australia. This land later was named Taradale; the nearest school was in Cunderdin. Descendants and relatives lived in Western Australia and elsewhere.
