Local Description
1897, First edition. A very good copy in the original red cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration to the spine. The boards have light shelf rubbing and mild sunfading to the spine. Both hinges are cracked but the binding is still very secure. Apart from light foxing to the endpapers and a previous owners name to the half title page this is a very clean bright copy. The folding plates are all in excellent order. This copy has the bookplate of Rear-Admiral Marcus Lowther to the front pastedown. Scans available if required.
