Author description

David Curtis is one of the country's best-known and most successful painters. He won first prize in the Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition in 1992 and he has won several other prizes in this event. Further awards include the Stanley Grimm Memorial Prize (ROI, 1991 and 1997); the Collins Brown Award (RWS, 1996); and the Roberson Award (RSMA, 2002). His work is widely exhibited and is also published as fine-art cards and prints. David is the author of bestselling Light and Mood with Watercolour (ISBN 0713489553). He lives near Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
